Hey! I’m Annie, a MechE junior @ Duke who loves Automation & Art.
That’s why I’m passionate about building robots that we feel comfortable coexisting with.
Growing up in the US but spending the last 10 years in China and bonding with people of different ages and backgrounds, I learned that brave people enjoy the world first. So I took my love for design to launch a sustainable fashion brand for STEM college students who needed versatile and stylish bags to match their busy, multi-faceted lifestyles.
I recently created an improved actuator for MIT’s research quadruped to optimize parameters like torque density while reducing manufacturing cost.
At Duke, you can catch me playing 🏐 with the club team on the main quad or painting another cat meme at the Arts Annex. I also just came back from studying abroad in Sydney (cahn’t take the aussie out of the girl!). Right now, I’m interning at Zeon Systems (YC X25) and prototyping mechanisms that address hardware challenges in the robotic arm.
Last thing about me is that I’m always down to hear a story that makes me want to live through you vicariously. Let’s talk!
